Millenium are winners of the fifth ESL Pro Series as they defeated emuLate in the race to the title. The finals of the fifth ESL Pro Series in France took place this weekend. Four Counter-Strike 1.6 teams had found their way to the playoffs, by finishing top four in the online season. Favourites were pointed out to be emuLate, while Millenium should be the underdogs and the challengers for the trophy. As predicted, emuLate and Millenium both found their way to the overall final. The two losing teams in the semi-finals, dimension4 and Esport-Eu, should fight out who should grab third place. The newly formed Esport-Eu overcame dimension4 win a 16:7 win on inferno, which secured them 1.000€. The favourites from emuLate started best, but Millenium were not much behind as emuLate won their T side 9:6. As CT, emuLate did not find the working defence against Millenium and a well playing Christophe "sixeR" Xia did not make it any easier for emuLate, where not even emuLate's Mickael "mSx" Cassisi could put a stop to it. This all lead to a 16:12 victory for Millenium on inferno. Moving on, emuLate should now try their luck on nuke, which the two teams tied on, in the online season. Millenium continued their great play and emuLate did not at any point seem to be able to cope with the challengers. Christophe "sixeR" Xia once again led Millenium to a victory, as they secured a 16:6 win on nuke.
